VGK stands for ‘Vlaamse Geneeskundige Kring’ (Flemish Medical Circle). ‘Flemish’, because we are connected to a Flemish university, Ghent University, and ‘medical’, because we are a student association for and by medical students. VGK first saw the light of day on 10 November 1921, and in more than 100 years VGK has grown into one of the largest and most respected student associations in Ghent.
